Train to Win was created to correct the imbalance of labor relations training between Unions and Management. Many Union Representatives are elected and expected to know what to do on Day 1. Unfortunately, they are not equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to handle the very diverse and difficult job of representing their members to the best of their abilities. Management on the other hand has access to plenty of training to keep them steps ahead of their union counterparts. Train to Win was established to level the ball field so that management and union can interact on an equal footing.
When Union Representatives have a solid foundation and understanding of the labor relations process, they are better equipped to represent their members and negotiate better settlements of their cases, disputes and problems.
The goal of Train to Win is to provide practical knowledge to every student that can be used the day after training. Let’s get started!!!
